There is a time for everything. Time management or prioritizing is vital to keep our families headed in a direction that is healthy and safe. Our time at times becomes more important for us then anything else. Sometimes, God has to take us out of our cycle to demonstrate his power and depending on our faith he will do many or no miracles. But, not only our faith will release God’s marvels, but our willingness to let loose of our time for him. Sometimes, we are too busy to open a time slot for God, hardness of heart settles in. That is what was happening to God’s people their hearts became so hardened that they were not willing to sacrifice a little time to see the glory of God (Mt. 13:15). So, what causes hardness of heart?
John 7:23
23 For if the correct time for circumcising your son falls on the Sabbath, you go ahead and do it so as not to break the law of Moses. So why should you be angry with me for healing a man on the Sabbath?
The religious leaders observed the Sabbath strictly and they were willing to condemn anyone who violated it as the law of Moses commanded. During the Sabbath the Jews were and are not supposed to do anything kind of labor, they were supposed to rest. But, if circumcising their son’s fell on the Sabbath they did not hesitate on performing the rit. Now, circumcision was a painful procedure that men had to go through in order for them to be accepted to the community. These religious people were willing to hurt during the Sabbath but not willing to accept healing during the same. Jesus came to heal and to save no matter what time or season it might be (Jer. 17:14, Ps. 6:2,103:3,107:20, 147:3). Now, two blind men were requesting Jesus to heal them, but Jesus would not heal them right a way. Jesus waited till they reached his house and they entered in to heal them (Mt.9:27-30). The blind men were willing to wait on Jesus’ timing for the healing, so they walked with him while they were blind with no rush in mind; that is how faith works. Faith patiently a waits for the unexpected; no rush needed. God’s timing is not like our time because with his for sure manifestations of his power come, where as in our timing we might not be in conditions to accept what comes. Like the religious leaders who were ready to hurt their fellow man via circumcision some of us will have the time hurt others, but not be ready to receive healing.
