The weak say I’m strong.

A battle rages each time a person gives his life to the Lord. The war against the church of Christ is not ending anytime soon. In fact, it is on the increase with more than 6,000 violent persecution incidents occurring against the church. In China the attractiveness of the church has been reduced to 2-3% and it has been stalled. Churches in China are becoming more difficult to find. And though the battle has been raging against us, we need to remember that God is our strength, and he will give us the victory (1Cor15:57-58). Each time we decide to head out to church we need to expect some sort of counterattack to try to hinder us from making it. The bible teaches us that we do not wrestle with flesh and blood, but against principalities of the forces of darkness (Eph6:11-12). But we must not allow ourselves to be intimated and forced to retreat from the battle. Many times, the enemy tries to make us feel weak and unqualify to fight. If he gets us to confess our inadequacies and weaknesses, our defeat is not too far away. As a man thinks, the proverbs say that is how he shall be (Pr23:7).  So, if you think that you are weak and useless or not fit to fight in the battle against the gospel, then you will not make the effort.

Joel 3:9-11

Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Rouse the warriors!
Let all the fighting men draw near and attack. 10 Beat your plowshares into swords
and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, “I am strong!” 11 Come quickly, all you nations from every side, and assemble there. Bring down your warriors, Lord!

Our warring will only last for a while, we just need to hold the front for a little longer (Re2:25). The Apostle Paul tells us that we need to fight the good fight that is before us holding on unto our confession (1Tim6:12). Throughout time we have seen God coming out to fight for his people (Ex14:14). He fights for us in our internal being and external state. But a time will come when God will be inciting a war against the enemies of the church, and everyone will have a decision to make of whether to come out and fight or not (Jo3:14). In our time and age, we have to go to the valley of decision and decide if we are going pick up our weapon of warfare and fight or stand down.
