The secret things:
We have been intrigued with the mysteries of this planet so much that people have died trying to figure them out. Our hearts tell us that there is a being with supreme powers that created the undiscovered and unknown. The quest to know constantly leads us to failure to discover. It is in our hearts to search out the mysteries of God, which he has concealed (Pro 25:2). God only shares his secrets with those who diligently seek him (Ps 25:14, Am 3:7). Trying to find out what God is doing in a matter will drive anyone crazy. Because God intends to bring beauty to everything He does, He will leave things hidden.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
Chapter 3 of Ecclesiastes lists 28 things that happen like clockwork, either because God leads or man influences them. He has made these 28 to bring out something beautiful and with a purpose in his time. For example with God led, there is a time to be born and a time to die, which God has in his own power to do (Heb 9:27). There is a time to plant and to pluck out that which has been planted V. 2. And this can be seen as when God plants you in a situation or job to pluck out someone else who is being a nusance or is causing disturbance. God will put you in situations only to bring glory to his name. V. 3, Solomon says that there is a time to kill and then to heal. The scriptures tell us that our old man must be crucified with Christ (Ro 6:6-8), so that we can be resurrected with him. Job said that God wounds with one hand and heals with the other (Job 5:18).
Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that the time for weeping and mourning will come, maybe through a difficult situation in the family, at work, or with oneself. But the time to sing and dance (V. 4) will also come, and this at the service where one can leave their troubles at the door and rejoice in the praise session (Ps 95:1). In V. 5, Solomon said that there is a time to cast stones and then to gather them. Stones are sometimes used as metaphors for strongholds, and the bible teaches us that our weapons bring them down (2 Cor 10:4). David said that the Lord is our rock and our salvation (Ps 18:2). We become strong when we trust in him. God will do something beautiful at the end.
Proverbs 25:2
2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
Psalms 25:14
14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
Amos 3:7
7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
Hebrews 9:27
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Romans 6:6-8
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Job 5:18
18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
Psalms 95:1
O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
2 Corinthians 10:4
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds 😉
Psalms 18:2
2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
