It belongs to Christ:
Everything on earth and everywhere else that exists belongs to Christ. When Christ came into the world, his father made sure that he lacked nothing. Everything, including God’s most precious creation, was handed to him (Mt 11:27). God gave everything, visible and invisible, to his Son with the responsibility to finish the work he started (Jh 5:36). The Father gave all things to his Son for keep sake; that is, there is no take back and no one can take it away from him (Jh 10:29). Jesus’ hour for departing was rapidly coming. The sense that he was leaving everything the Father had given him behind was becoming a reality. Jesus fell in love with the disciples. They were the highlight of his day. Jesus tells his disciples that no one has greater love for their friends than to lay down their life for them, and he called them his friends (Jh 15:13-14). Christ loved his disciples until the end without wavering (Jh 13:1). Two verses we need to mention, which tell us how much God loves us, are Romans 5:28 and Jeremiah 31:3.
John 13:3-5
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
The washing of the disciples’ feet is considered one of Christ’s last acts of love towards them. The act is a symbol of humility, servant leadership, and spiritual cleansing. The disciples needed only their feet to be cleansed, not their entire bodies. When we come to Christ for the first time, we need to be totally cleansed. This happens when we accept Christ into our lives and are baptized (Jn 3:5). The feet in the Bible are a symbol of authority (Ps 110:1). They represent readiness, evangelism, and the journey of life. Jesus washed his disciples’ feet, clearing out all the dust particles of sin and obstacles, helping them to get a fresh start. He set an example for they to follow with their brethren. They too had to help their brethren to a fresh start, clearing the dust particles of obstacles off their feet. They had to love each other as Christ loved them.
Matthew 11:27
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
John 5:36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
John 10:29
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
John 15:13-14
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
John 13:1
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Jeremiah 31:3
The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Psalms 110:1
The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
