Matthew 4:1:4

The time when we have had a great time or a victorious one is when many times Satan tends to stick his foot out to make us fall. The purpose of temptation has two central purposes one is to make us fall; Satan driven, and the other is to humble us; God permitted (1Cor.10:13). God does not tempt anyone nor can he be tempted (Jm1:13). Now,  A temptation is a desire to do something bad knowing that is bad, and the only one who tempts us to do the bad is Satan.  There are times that we ourselves induce temptation the scriptures call it that we do so out of our own lusts (Jm1:14).

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The temptercame to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[

Now, Jesus had just been singled out with the sign of the dove by God the Father as the Son of God, and was baptized; plus he was at the end of his fasting of 40 days and nights. So, Jesus had a lot going for him just like the typical man of God whose life is turned around in an instance. The greatest battles come after significant moments in our lives.  But, one thing is for sure and that is that God gives us the victory over temptation (He2:18). Jesus’ triumph over the enemy’s temptation is spoken specifically spoken by God in Genesis 3:15, where God says that the women’s see would crush the serpent’s head.
