God’s healing power and might wonders are evident today as it always has been; at the same level of power. God is the all powerful and when he does anything the level of strength by which he does it does not change or is altered. But, before this resources is touched upon; God’s power that is, there has to be some sort of beginning. And, it does not matter the size of God’s doing, just a start of the mere sprinkle of his power is enough to transform someone. Take for instance the woman with the issue of blood, that for 12 years she searched for a solution and paid lots of money; was seen by many surgeons in those days, and nothing. Just the simple touch of Jesus’ hem was enough to stop this flow of blood from her (Mt. 9:19-21), and she did just that; she came from behind him and touched it. Like David who took out Goliath with five small rocks and lead Israel to a victory over the philistines (1Sam17:40), of which was the beginning of God’s working. And last, there was a widow that was gathering a couple of sticks because she had a little oil and flour to make her and her son’s last meal, and Elijah the prophet asked her to give him the first little bread before her family. The woman, because her obedience to give the prophet a small bread was able to see God’s providing power and feed her family throughout the famine (1Kg17:12). It is the small crumbs that unleash the power of God.

Mathew 15:26-28

26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

This woman’s daughter was possessed with a devil and tormented her, and after hearing about Jesus she began to follow him insisting that he have mercy on her daughter. After a while she began to become annoying to the disciples, because she would not give up asking for mercy. She was like that widow whom her creditors took all her possessions after her husband died, and she insisted that a judge do her justice. After she annoyed him for a while he did her justice (Lk18:2-5).  Well, this women continued to insist that Jesus heal her daughter until he did. She was satisfied with the crumbs of the power of God to heal her daughter. God does not need to open the red sea, manifest a host of angels or have someone walk on waters to demonstrate his power, all he needs is a beginning moment as small as it may.
