True worship<\/h2>\n

Becoming confused in worship is all too simple today. With so many things and gods that can be easily worshipped, anyone can get lost from true worship of the God of the bible. So, let’s define worship. Worship is a sign of reverence modeled by kissing the hand as mentioned in Psalm 2:12. 2. Also, by kneeling or prostrating oneself to the ground is one of those ways. It is a sincere and genuine expression of obeisance or show of respect from the heart. Worshipers need to have a clear and concise mindset of that which they are adoring; they need to know what they are worshipping. The Samaritans back in the bible times were confused with the deity of the God of Israel. They saw him as the god of the land like any other god such as Baal; god of fertility, Dagon; fish and sea, and Molech; with child and sacrifice. They worshipped him for the providence that they received.  To get the complete impression of the thing we worship as God, there are methods that we need to follow. First, we need to search as much information that proves what or who it is we are adoring (Jh5:39). Second, we need to engage in focus activities such as prayer precisely in petition and response to define the deity (Mk11:24). And thirdly, we need to surround ourselves with others who adore the same to complement our belief (He12:1).<\/p>\n

John 4:22-24<\/p>\n

22 <\/sup>Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.<\/span><\/p>\n

23 <\/sup>But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.<\/span><\/p>\n

24 <\/sup>God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Salvation came to and from the Jew. John says that he came to his own but his own did not receive him (Jh1:11). In God’s clock there is a time slot for those who wish to be true worshippers to do it in spirit and in truth. Now, true worshippers are those who hold the authenticity of the deity wholeheartedly. We know without a shadow of a doubt who we are asking and trusting (1Jh5:15). Let’s talk a bit about worshipping in the spirit. The word spirit refers to the soul, that power by which the human is able to think, feel, move and make decisions. So, the question is how do you worship God with your soul? David said to his soul “Praise the Lord oh my soul and forget not his benefits” (Ps103:1-5), because he is the one who heals and satisfies you. Thinking about the benefits and all the things God has done is a form of worship. Conditioning oneself to changing how he\/she feels towards expecting from God something is another way to worship (Ro12:2). When we worship God in truth, we do according to the facts. The evidence of our worship is found in the things that he has done for us in our mortal bodies. <\/p>\n
