Because we only use ten percent of our brains, means that we cannot handle nothing too complicated that is far from our reach. Take for instance the idea of going to heaven once a person dies, a simple method found the scriptures prepares one for that journey(1Cor1:21). In fact, God uses the simple and foolish things of the world to put o shame the wise things (1Cor1:27). Another example we find in the simplicity of God is the healing of our body’s, in that it is found in the laying of hands in prayer (Mk16:18). It is not meant to be complicated or difficult in the kingdom of God, we have made it that way. In fact, the bible says that a way is made that even the the most foolish will not err in it (Is35:8). Some people find themselves going through difficult tasks just to see if God will do what they need. It is as simple as just uttering words in petition that God will do what they ask (Mk11:24). Sometimes we make it complicated that God won’t do what we ask and we ask with the wrong motives (Jm4:3).

2 Kings 5:13

13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

Now, Naaman was a mighty man of honor for the Siren army and though he was not an Israelite God gave him the victory where ever he fought. His characteristics were so that even though he had a condition, that did not limit him in what he did. What gets me the most of this man was the idea that he was not a child of God and yet he had favor with him. God’s plan to save the gentiles was into gear from creation. The simple task of dipping himself into the Jordon seven times seemed to be too simple for there to be a healing as Naaman expressed when he got angry with Elisha and went off. But, in order for the simpleness of God to work there needs to be a measure of obedience, once Naaman came around he obeyed and was healed. Samuel told the people of God that he is not pleased with sacrifice but with obedience (1Sm15:22). Making it simple as it supposed to be makes it more attainable and life changing. Naaman became a changed man once he saw that with a simple act of obedience he became healed. He said that from hence forth he was going to only sacrifice to the God of Israel (2K5:17).

Verses

1 Corinthians 1:21

21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

1 Corinthians 1:27

27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

Mark 16:18

18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

Isaiah 35:8

And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.

Mark 11:24

24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

James 4:3

3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

1 Samuel 15:22

22 But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord?
